The Person Behind the Pixels

Nate

I'm a designer and illustrator working from the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains. My style leans modern-minimalist with bold, litho-inspired illustration and Western grit. Visual art isn't just work; it's a way of life, and I'll always be a scholar of design. When I'm off the clock, I'm hiking, shooting photos, or driving mountain roads where the best ideas tend to show up.

For over a decade, I've been the bridge between digital files and physical products: brand systems, apparel lines, print collateral, and publications. I know ink counts, stitch paths, substrates, and press limitations because I've spent time on both sides; design software and production floor. Designs don't just look sharp on screen, they survive contact with the real world.

I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from Colorado State University. That fine-art foundation paired with modern tools lets me move quickly without sacrificing craft or originality. I've built for startups and established brands across multi-season collections and cohesive campaign systems, keeping communication clear, details tight, and momentum high.

Digital fluency meets production literacy. If you need design that translates cleanly from screen to substrate, let's talk. Call my work trail-tested, practical, durable, and built to perform in the real world.

... In addition to bringing my vision to life, Nathaniel was highly professional and patient, providing guidance and direction where needed, but also open and receptive to my feedback and suggestions. I highly recommend working with Nathaniel for any graphic design or website design needs.

Most design processes treat production as a final step. This one builds it in from kickoff, so technical requirements shape the work instead of limiting it later.

Project Flow

Kickoff

Set goals, audience, constraints, and success metrics, then map out the production plan.

Research

Quick exploration, palettes, and a tight brief, staying on brand.

Build

Sketch to comps to refine; built for production (seps, dielines, scale/readability).

Preflight

Mockups, Pantone, specs; clean files, production-ready.

Handoff

Press-ready files in organized folders; then I'm here for whatever comes next.
